Tourist visa from Pakistan
The right tourist visa from Pakistan depends on where you travel. The UK Standard Visitor visa allows tourism for up to six months. A Schengen visa allows 90 days in any 180. The USA B-2 visa covers holidays and medical treatment. Canada's visitor visa usually allows up to six months. Dubai issues 30 and 60-day tourist visas through accredited agents.
Family visit visa
Visiting relatives is allowed on the UK Standard Visitor route. Schengen embassies expect an invitation from your host. Dubai has a relative or friend visa that needs a sponsor with a monthly income of AED 4,000 for first-degree relatives. Canada offers a Super Visa for parents and grandparents of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, explained in our Canada visit visa guide.
Business visit visa
The UK Standard Visitor route covers certain business activities. The USA B-1 visa covers business such as consulting associates or negotiating a contract. Dubai has a business exploration visa for 60, 90 or 120 days with no UAE sponsor. You cannot work for a local employer on the UK or USA visas.

What every visit visa officer looks for
Whatever the country, the officer wants to see three things. These are a clear reason for your trip, enough money to pay for it, and strong reasons to return to Pakistan, such as a job, business or family. Bank statements should match your income, and large unexplained deposits cause problems. Booking non-refundable flights before the visa is issued is risky.
