To study in Poland from Pakistan you register on e-konsulat, book a “National visa, degree” appointment and apply in person at the Polish Embassy in Islamabad. The Embassy lists a fee of PKR 65,771. This guide covers the steps, funds and work rules.
Poland student visa process from Pakistan
- Get an acceptance letter from a Polish university.
- Register on e-konsulat, choose the study category and complete the form. For a bachelor’s or master’s the appointment type is “National visa, degree”. New slots open every Monday between 9:00 and 15:00.
- Apply in person at the Embassy of Poland, Street 24, G-5/4, Diplomatic Enclave II, Islamabad. There are no walk-ins, and the Embassy accepts nothing by post, fax or email.
- Pay the fee in cash when you submit.
You must apply in the consular district where you live. The Embassy does not work with agencies or intermediaries, so you submit the application yourself. The decision comes within 15 working days of paying the fee, or up to 45 days if documents need closer review, and you may be interviewed. The type D visa is valid for up to one year, with Schengen movement of 90 days in any 180.
The Embassy page lists a fee of PKR 65,771, non-refundable whatever the decision. It does not state the EUR 80 figure that older pages used, so we confirm the current fee before you pay. If you are refused you can ask for reconsideration within 14 days, in person, for the same fee.
Documents for a Polish student visa
- Printed and signed e-konsulat form, and a photo of 3.5 x 4.5 cm taken in the last six months.
- Passport valid 3 months beyond the visa with two blank pages, and a photocopy of your national ID.
- NADRA Family Registration Certificate, original and copy.
- Acceptance letter, proof of accommodation and a round-trip flight booking.
- Health insurance for the whole stay, valid in the EU, of at least EUR 30,000.
- For paid studies, a receipt for the first year’s fee or a declaration of sufficient funds.
- Any earlier refusal letters.

The Embassy’s funds list mentions only the student, so we confirm the position for dependants at your consultation.
Tuition and application fees
The Czestochowa University of Technology charges EUR 1,200 per semester. Applicants with documents from countries that are not automatically recognised, and Pakistan is not listed as one, pay a 100 PLN bachelor’s application fee (85 PLN for a master’s) and take an entrance exam. The University of Warsaw Foundation Year costs EUR 3,500. Other universities set their own fees, so we check each course.
Working in Poland as a student
Foreigners on a Polish study visa or a temporary residence permit for studies may work without a work permit. The Office for Foreigners page mentions no hour limit, so we confirm the current limit at your consultation.
After graduating you can apply once for a 9-month temporary residence permit to look for work or run a business. Apply in person to the voivode during your legal stay, straight after graduation. You need your diploma, medical insurance, a Polish address and funds. We could not find the fee on an official page. Graduates of Polish higher education need no work permit but still need the residence permit.
English requirements and entry with the HSSC
Czestochowa University of Technology asks for English at B2. The Poznan University of the Arts accepts IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 72 or PTE Academic 59. The Warsaw Foundation Year starts at IELTS 4.5 or CEFR B1 and aims for B2, the minimum for English-taught degrees.
The West Pomeranian University of Technology lists the HSSC as an accepted secondary certificate, with an eligibility statement from the issuing country’s authority. The University of Gdansk lists the HSSC for bachelor’s entry. For a master’s it lists a professional bachelor’s of at least four years, a B.Tech (Hons), a first professional doctorate such as Pharm.D, DVM or DPT, or a master’s, MPhil or MBA from a 5.5-year programme. We could not find a Poland-wide HSSC rule, so each university decides.

The Banach NAWA 2026 call offered master’s students PLN 2,500 a month, PLN 2,500 for travel and a tuition exemption, and it closed on 8 May 2026. We could not confirm that Pakistan is on its list of 36 countries. 2027/28 deadlines differ by university, so we check each one.
