Make a free IELTS study plan in a few steps. Enter your target band, your exam date and the hours you can study each week. You get a week-by-week plan with practice tasks and a weekly mini mock test. Your answers stay in your own browser, and you do not need an account.
How this IELTS study plan works
Choose your target overall band, your exam date, how many hours a week you can study, and how comfortable you feel in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. The plan gives more time to the modules where you need more work, and builds up from learning the basics to practising under exam time.
Each week has practice tasks that link to the free LAMTANS tools for IELTS reading and listening, writing and speaking, plus a weekly mini mock test and a final mock test in your last week. Tick tasks off as you finish them to see your progress.
Your answers and ticks are saved only in your own browser, so if you clear your browser data or change device you will need to make the plan again. A plan is general guidance, not a promise of a band score, and our practice tools hold a limited number of tests, so in longer plans some tests repeat.

IELTS study plan for a far-away exam
The plan covers up to 16 weeks. If your exam is further away, come back nearer the date and make a new plan with your updated date.
